Course Objective: The course aims to develop students’ ability to understand the basics of IPR and its relevance in their startup.

CO 157: Understand the basics of Intellectual Property rights and its management.

 

CO 158: Define and explain different types of IPR

CO 159: Examine and describe patent claims that legally define a structure or method, and its varied embodiments.

 

CO 160: Explore infringement of the rights of the patent holder by another

 

CO 161: Explore the defenses to an asserted claim of infringement, and remedies when infringement is established.

 

 

CO 162: Examine and explain the different and complementary types of design patent protection.
